Mentoring at SNEC
Mentoring!
Do you have a passion for helping others?
Do you need guidance from a seasoned PM?
If you fit either of the statements above then we'd like you to be part of the SNEC PMI Mentoring committee. We need both Mentors and Mentees for the upcoming year.
Please submit an application via the SNEC website. Instructions are at the bottom of this article.
The Value of Mentoring
When you reflect upon your professional life, you can probably point to at least one individual who made a meaningful contribution during your career. That significant individual could best be described as your mentor.
MENTORING is the process in which successful individuals go out of their way to help others establish goals and develop the skills to reach them. It can help you acquire skills, increase confidence, widen your perspective, avoid many errors, enhance your career and life, and help you succeed.
SNEC Mentoring is a formal, structured, program for chapter members only. The Mentor Committee is looking to match Mentors who have backgrounds that can support the needs of Mentees.
To submit an Application and for additional information on Mentoring at SNEC:
- Sign in at www.snec-pmi.org as a SNEC member
- Click on Member Area at the top right of the screen, or in the Member menu pull-down.

For Mentors, once we receive your application, we will review and set up a meeting to discuss expectations and we will then be in touch if a match was found.
For Mentees, once we receive your application, we will reach out to ensure we understand what you are looking for and then look through our pool of mentors to see if a potential match is found and will start the connection process.
Our volunteer mentoring team endeavors to respond to all Mentor / Mentee applications and inquiries within 5 to 7 days.
