The 3 Moments That Derail Projects: Lessons from the Big Dig and Beyond
with Donna Gregorio

Even experienced project teams see projects unravel—not because of poor planning, but due to communication breakdowns at critical moments. In this session, participants will explore three predictable points in the project lifecycle where misalignment, silence, or unclear decision-making quietly derail outcomes.

Drawing on lessons from the Big Dig and examples from modern organizational projects, this talk highlights how communication choices under pressure shape success or failure. Attendees will gain practical strategies to recognize early warning signs, navigate stakeholder complexity, and make more intentional communication decisions they can apply immediately to projects of any size.
