Agentic AI and Its Governance: From Principles to Practical Use Cases
with Dan Montagna

This foundational session provides a practical overview of how artificial intelligence is moving past tools that simply generate content and answer questions into autonomous agents capable of making decisions, executing tasks, and interacting with business systems.

We'll explore the key differences between generative and agentic AI; the risks associated with greater autonomy; and core governance considerations such as security, permissions, human oversight, data protection, and accountability. Through selected real-world examples from project delivery, IT operations, business process automation, and compliance, the session will illustrate practical ways organizations can begin using AI responsibly while establishing clear rules, controls, and monitoring.

Designed for business, project, IT, governance, and risk professionals, the session requires no technical AI background and offers an accessible starting point for evaluating, approving, implementing, and overseeing AI-enabled processes.
