Dealing with Conflicting Priorities
facilitated by Joseph Carfagno, PMP

It’s rare that project managers have just one project to work on. Even when they do, their stakeholders may have multiple responsibilities. There are only so many hours in a week.

How do you prioritize your projects so that the most important ones get executed? Do you use any tools such as Kanban boards or Gantt charts to identify possible conflicts? What methods does your organization use to prioritize projects? What do you do when people from two different areas of your organization need the same resources? How do you communicate with the beneficiaries of projects that have to take a back seat?

Bring your insights, opinions, war stories, suggestions for action, or just plain curiosity about dealing with conflicting priorities.
