Working with External Resources

Most projects require us to work with external resources: contractors, suppliers, customers, regulators. External people may not have as much stake in a project’s success as the core team and the sponsors of the project do.

How do you ensure that external resources are aligned with your projects. How do you handle scheduling conflicts? What do you do when a contractor or supplier underperforms?

Bring your insights, opinions, war stories, suggestions for action, or just plain curiosity about working with external resources.

Joseph Carfagno has over 20 years of project experience in IT, primarily implementing and supporting enterprise-wide financial systems.  As a program lead for SNEC-PMI he is committed to maintaining a valuable and sustainable series of Shelton meetings. He’s worked with many external resources.
