An Introduction to PMI Infinity
facilitated by Joseph Carfagno, PMP

PMI Infinity is a Generative Pre-Trained Transformer (GPT) that uses what some call a small language model rather than the open internet. Small Language Models are trained on curated data. Infinity is of course trained on PMI material. The benefit of Small Language Models is that their answers are accurate within their domain.

Organizations use Small Language Models to train their members. An IT department can use internal documents and their vendor’s manuals to train a model to answer questions usually directed to their help desk. A law firm can train a model on case law.

We will discuss the benefits and drawbacks of using Small Language Models. I will then demonstrate PMI Infinity works.
Bring your experiences with Small and Large Language Models. What uses do you see for Small Language Models? What questions do you have for PMI Infinity?

I asked PMI Infinity a few questions to prepare this write-up but did not use any of its answers.
